At Citygate Church there are many different ways to serve:
Children
Each Sunday we cater for children aged 0-11 in a variety of classes. Whether it’s teaching, helping, preparing games, buying in resources or maintaining registers there are many different ways in which you can serve the children at Citygate Church.
Fused Youth
Fused youth is for young people aged 11-18 and has a range of activities including a Friday night youth club and Motivate during the Sunday service. There are many opportunities to be involved with Fused Youth from taking part in a game to helping the youth to grow in their faith.
Worship Team
If you’re a musician or a singer then audition to be a part of the Praise and Worship team so that you can use your talents to serve in this area.
Stewards
The Steward teams play a vital role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly on a Sunday. From greeting people as they arrive to serving teas & coffees at the end of the meeting, the steward teams get to serve the church in many different ways.
Host Team
Our Host team’s aim is to make all our visitors feel as welcome as possible. Their roles include welcoming visitors on a Sunday, calling people that have completed a Get Connected Card and serving during the Get Connected Lunches.
Connect Groups
Connect Groups meet twice a month in people’s homes and are an important part of Citygate Life. If you’ve enjoyed being in a group why not serve in one? As a Host Leaders you could open up your home for a group or as a Study Leader prepare the Bible Study?
Radiate & Freedom to Dance
Our highly regarded dance team, Radiate, are always looking out for new talented dancers to join them or dress makers to help with the costumes. Freedom to Dance also has opportunities for those with dance experience to help in the children’s community classes and for receptionists to sign people in on a Thursday or Friday.
Media
Citygate has always been known for it's excellence in media. Whether it's lights, sound, TV, graphics or websites there are many media opportunities to get involved with.
Setup/Pack Down
There are so many different activities taking place in the hall each with their own requirements for chairs, tables and other equipment. Why not give some time each week to help make an event happen?
Admin
If you love systems and procedures then why not give of your skills to help a department? You could help with regularly maintaining a database or occasionally helping with a large mail out?
Razzle Dazzle
Razzle Dazzle is our Mother & Toddler group that reaches out to over 150 children in our community. There are many different ways to be involved from setting up the toys, helping with a craft, reading stories or simply having time to talk to a mum.
Worsley Bridge School
In 2008 we used our summer mission to make a huge difference to the interior of the school and to be a blessing. This relationship with the school has continued and there are now opportunities to be involved in school assemblies or listen to children read.
