Where is Citygate?
Citygate is in Beckenham, South East London. We're quite close to several train & tram stations or, if you're coming by car on a Sunday, there's a free car park just opposite.
But I'm not a Christian
That's fine! You don't have to be a Christian to join us, in fact each week we have people visiting with different backgrounds and beliefs.

Is there anything for children?
Yes we believe it's important for kids to have fun while they're at church so we have a range of groups for children up to the age of 11. Our teachers are all trained and CRB checked so you know they're in safe hands!
About Us
Citygate Church began in 1997 in a local school's drama studio with just a handful of people.
In 2002, with just fifty members, Citygate miraculously purchased major town centre premises in Beckenham, positioning the Church to build the kind of impact in the community they have today.
Citygate is seen by many as a pioneering church in aspects of faith, relevance, excellence and community engagement. The influence of Citygate in London is rapidly gaining momentum. Each year, Citygate hosts various events which attract people from many different areas of society, from the education sector to the business arena.
In 2007 Citygate was presented with an award by the London Metropolitan Police for their contribution towards making Bromley a safer place, through their work on a local housing estate.
Citygate Church has a clear Vision - to powerfully affect our generation, by building a church which can transform our world. Citygate is committed to a strong set of Values which determine the culture and practices of the church, from their community involvement to the style of their services. Marked by an exciting and contemporary environment where people can grow, connect with people, and be empowered, Citygate is a place full of energy, fun and a sense of togetherness which is friendly and welcoming to people from all walks of life.
Julian and Sharon Melfi have been in full time ministry since 1991. After pioneering and co leading a church in London for five years and subsequently launching into a travelling ministry, Julian and Sharon joined with Christian Outreach Centre and planted Citygate Church in 1997.
Julian and Sharon are committed to radically transforming the world in any and every way they can! Julian is known for his radical faith, his humourous style, his commitment to the Word of God, his passion to influence the world with the relevant message of Jesus Christ, and his desire to see the local Church rise up in all aspects of excellence to be a blessing to the community. Serving on local committees and hosting local Community and Business events, Julian is a respected leader both within Christian Outreach Centre and across SE London.
